Danielle Marshall joined Ami McConnell Literary Agency in 2026. She brings with her 30 years of experience in publishing and bookselling, with varied roles across the book business including Editorial Director for Lake Union Publishing, marketing and publicity roles at Workman and Simon & Schuster, Agent at Jane Rotrosen literary agency, as well as frontlist book buyer for the largest independent bookstore on the west coast, Powell’s Books. An avid reader and editor, she is known for strong advocacy for authors and for cultivating bestsellers. Danielle has editorial experience in women’s fiction, literary fiction, book club fiction, contemporary romance, historical fiction, mystery and suspense, as well as memoir and self-help nonfiction. She considers editing a fun, collaborative refinement of a book, made up of suggestions to an author informed by her experience as a book professional. She values the author’s voice and vision for their story above all else.
